David Murphy and Diana Murphy, a happily married young couple, have begun their respective careers: she as a real estate broker and he as an architect. She finds the ideal location to build his dream home, and they obtain loans to do so. When the recession hits, they risk losing all they possess, so they travel to Las Vegas with their last $5000 in hopes of earning the money they need. After losing at the tables, they are contacted by a suave millionaire and high-stakes gambler named John Gage, who offers them a million dollars for a night with Diana.
